Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Pin Pal, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension. These terms apply to all users of the Pin Pal Chrome extension and its website at pinpal.site.

What Pin Pal Does

Pin Pal is a free Chrome extension that replaces your browser's new tab page with a personal shortcut dashboard. It allows you to save website shortcuts, organize them into categories, and customize your new tab background. All features are free and available to all users with no subscription required.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Pin Pal only for its intended purpose. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the extension outside of its published form
• Use the extension to store or access illegal or harmful content
• Attempt to exploit, hack, or interfere with the extension's functionality
• Misrepresent Pin Pal or its features to other users
• Use Pin Pal in any way that violates Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies

No Account or Data Collection

Pin Pal does not require you to create an account. No personal information is collected, transmitted, or stored by us. All data you create within Pin Pal — shortcuts, categories, and background preferences — is stored locally on your device and never sent to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Intellectual Property

Pin Pal, including its name, logo, design, and source code, is the intellectual property of its developer. The extension is made available for personal, non-commercial use through the Chrome Web Store. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of Pin Pal without explicit written permission.

Third-Party Services

Pin Pal uses Google's public Favicon API (https://www.google.com/s2/favicons) to automatically fetch website icons for your saved shortcuts. This is a read-only, publicly available API that requires no authentication. Pin Pal does not integrate with any other third-party services, APIs, or platforms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Pin Pal is provided as-is without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all systems. Use of Pin Pal is at your own discretion and risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Pin Pal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension. Since Pin Pal stores all data locally on your device, we are not responsible for any data loss resulting from uninstalling the extension or clearing browser storage.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available at pinpal.site/terms with a revised effective date. Continued use of Pin Pal after any update means you accept the revised terms.
